Plan Mode vs Act Mode

IndigiCoder has two modes for code generation: Plan Mode for thinking, and Act Mode for building.

Plan Mode

AI analyzes your request without generating code. It creates a structured plan with:

  • Requirements analysis
  • Architecture decisions
  • Implementation steps

Use Plan Mode first to ensure AI understands your vision. After reviewing the plan, click "Implement Plan" to generate code.

Act Mode

AI immediately starts writing code. Files are created in real-time.

Best for:

  • Small changes and fixes
  • When you know exactly what you want
  • Follow-up modifications

Recommended Workflow

  1. Start with Plan Mode for new projects
  2. Review the plan — Make sure it matches your vision
  3. Switch to Act Mode to implement
  4. Use Act Mode for refinements and changes
